Underneath the bag, there is a hard plastic "loop" fitting, but it runs at 90 degrees to the angle where fitting a rear light would be easy. (It runs from the front to the back not sideways). What lights would fit this arrangement please?

I've had an Ortlieb seatpack come off the clip on an MTB so I use a webbing strap through the saddle rails and plastic clip - means I can also attach a Fibre Flare Razor too.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Glad to see it isn't just me who thinks that the light fitting on an Ortlieb saddle bag is a bit dumb.

I tried clipping a light to the D-ring on the strap used to close the bag but the light jiggles around a bit so I wasn't sure how effective it might be (it could end up pointing off to the side...)

I ended up putting the light on the seat post so I'm also interested in any lights with clips that would work with the Ortlieb.
  • I think there are some lights that their fittings can twist by 90 degrees, but I've yet to find any. These would fit ok - I will keep looking!

  • I have found a solution. This fits perfectly.

If the link does not work it is a Smart Superflash 0.5 watt LED
