    Just got given a very old Panasonic and made our first French loaf in it.
    Now wanting the newest version to supplement my sourdough cravings.
    Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.
    Bike 1 (Broken) - Bike 2(Borked) - Bike 3(broken spokes) - Bike 4( Needs Work) - Bike 5 (in bits) - Bike 6* ...

    Substitute some (20% ish) of the white flour for rye flour. Throw some sliced grapes in to start as per this. Having said that, I'll post you some if you like (assuming you fancy donating to some cash to ... say... Oxfam)

    Just bumped this post to thank davis for suggesting I use Paul Hollywood's sliced grapes recipe on the BBC food link above. I made the starter on Friday. It's really vigorous, with a nice tangy cider smell, and I made my first two sourdough loaves with it today (Tue). They were great! Looking forward to trying my maturing starter with different flours.
