let's talk grease
If I get a good water resistant Teflon grease will it do me for everything? I'm going to clean and grease my headset so I'm assuming the same grease can be used for all other parts? I.e bottle cage screws, cleats, bottom bracket etc. Also can anyone recommend a good grease?

Yeah - bike grease isn't doing any really hard work. Water resistance is probably the key feature. The most important consideration with grease is keeping it clean to avoid drawing contamination in bearings.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0

for fixing components (bb threads, various screws and bolts) i use antiseize rather than grease
tube of antiseize
tube of waterproof greasemy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
Yes, remember grease is 'oil in soap', and any good grease is fine. Use automotive type, lots of 'bike grease' is automotive type, repackaged and lots of $ added.0

Yepp, most of it is the same but the price can vary greatly. I like the Finish Line Teflon one because it comes in a really neat dispenser to get it into cup/cones, etc., but there really isn't a lot of difference in 'performance' between the lot of them. Also handy to have some lighter lube for other areas, like the cabling under the BB or jockey wheels and pivot points. I use 3in1 from Wilko, dead cheap.0

I was having to repack my BB bearings with regular bike grease weekly - switched to Marine grade waterproof grease and now find I don't have to deal with gritty bearings on a weekly basis.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

That marine grease seems to be fairly cheap too. Do you use it throughout the year with no problems?Cube Attain SL Disc
