Recently I chipped in to one of the teams leaving present. he's a good lad so he got paper. I come in this morning and he's sat opposite.

Thoughts?

Maybe he was just leaving for the day?

Surely he will leave one day? When he does, you've already paid.

You paid, he left. Just blank him - he isn't there. If everyone does this he'll soon leave again.

Does he know he's left? I think you are victim to an elaborate workplace/team scam, all your mates are giggling behind your back, no one else paid a penny, now they've all gone out and bought haribo at your expense.. tough You'll get over it, next time give em a post dated cheque, it's the only way you can be sure

Maybe he got your job. Think you should get your desk together.

On the bright side, they may raise 4.99 for your leaving present

Right, I'm going to fire him and not chip in.

    Thanks all.

If I were you I'd start a rumour and get him fired.

Tell him you're a bit skint so you're going to pretend you're leaving so they have a whip round for you, then just glare at him.

More to the point, is the bloke who collected all the money still there?

Nope. If he wants a tax refund as big as the one that I've just got, he'll need to do something different
