Hi everyone,
Really appreciate some advice.
I'm looking at buying a bike after 7 years with my Specialized Allez Sport! It's been great for road, triathlons (bars attached, though not great for my back!) and commuting.

I'm looking to buy one of the above. Be using it for 60% road and 40% tri (sprint & standard).
Test rode both and enjoyed both; read reviews and both fare well.

Both have Ultegra, Argon can be fitted to road and TT position, Giant have the Di2. Difference in price but am wondering which I'd get more benefit from.

Cheers everyone

Not had any experience with the Argon but can vouch that the Propel is extremely comfortable so if you have a poor back I would recommend it.
  • Buy an Argon frameset and build it up, you'll get a good deal from Swift Cycles on that if you are close to London. Can pick up Di2 groups pretty cheaply (relatively at least) and plenty of good deals on wheels etc about. You cold get something better than the Giant and stock Nitrogen for your money I would think. I built up a Di2 Krypton last year for cost of Non Di2 stock model, and with lots of other 'upgrades'.
    Allez
    Brompton
    Krypton
    T-130

Never tell her how much it costs ......
  • Thanks gents -appreciate the advice.

Are there alternative bikes which aren't on my radar yet?
