Commuting bike buying help

Hello,
I'm after a bike for a daily commute in London.
I have been cycling on single speed so far but it isn't always as fast I would like it to be.
And also it's old and I would like to have a new bike.
I don't think I will need anything fancy, something comfortable and flat bar.
I was thinking Cannondale Quick fix 6 2015: http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Cannondale-Quick-6-2015-Hybrid-Sports-Bike_73545.htm Do you think that would be ok?
I also need to carry it to the second floor at home and at work (not sure how much it weighs)
Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks in advance!

Not a bad choice, but rather lardy (about 14.5kg)
This is much lighter (about 3.5Kg lighter) and blinding value at this price (similar to the 'dale)
