Looking at buying my first 29er and have found two that looks good (both on sales so around 500 gbp). Since I am 6'4 I need a big frame and am not an advance rider - ride bike parks (Bedgebury) and along South Downs.

Any advise? Am thoroughly confused what to go for now...

Thanks in advance for any input / views!

Very little to choose between them, the Lapierre has a better rear mech and slightly better brakes, the Orbea (based on info above) has a very slightly better damper.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
