Overshoes for trainers

New trainers with mesh uppers = cold feet!
I do have the BBB heavy duty overshoes but those will not fit over my trainers. I think they're designed for cycling shoes.
Hence, I'm after some warm overshoes that will easily fit over regular shoes used with flat pedals. The trainers are not huge but are chunkier than my cycling shoes.
Any suggestions on suitable overshoes for trainers?

Nothing specific on the market, you can cut up some cheap ones and make something reasonably ok-ish. Its the same for mountain bikers who prefer flats over clips.0

Do they have cleat holes?
I use normal trainers with old fashioned toe clip type pedals. Don't use overshoes but when it's cold I use neoprene socks, inside the trainers not outside. The waterproof neoprene kind (there's two types of neoprene apparently according to Wikipedia, porous and waterproof). They really help keep my feet warm -- still get cold feet in the end but before I used neoprene socks I got seriously cold, numb feet very easily, it didn't even have to be that cold. It was quite a problem. Not so much now.0 -

Well that's a plus I reckon. Shame there's not cleat-hole-less ones more waterproof, more like standard overshoes.0 -
I think I've made a bit of progress on this issue. I revisited my BBB heavy duty overshoes and tried to get them over my trainers again. This time I used a bit more force and it worked! The issue I had previously was that I wasn't prepared to push and pull the overshoes to get them on. The neoprene was getting caught on the rubber sole of my trainers so could not be pulled at that point. I just pulled the neoprene away slightly when I was fitting them and this made getting them on a lot easier. It's a snug fit though!0
