Cycling around Màlaga

Hi folks,
The missus has booked us on an April stay in Málaga, I'm hoping to hire a bike and spend 3-4 days having a mooch around and was wondering if anyone has any experiences of cycling in this area.
I would like to get up some hills and see what is to be seen.
There seems to be a few bike hire places dotted around Fuengirola town, again any experiences?
Any help or suggestions much appreciated
