Seatposts on SuperSix Evo

Hi all,
I'm looking at a SuperSix Evo (as most people here) and was wondering about the seatposts on the various bikes.
The one I'm after, the Evo RED 2015 has an alloy seatpost (C1 ultralight). The Ultegra 2015 & 2016 versions has a carbon one, 105 version has an alloy but C3.
Any idea why the Ultegra has the carbon but not the more expensive RED? And any feedback on the difference?
