Sidi Shoes.

Hi,

Looking at getting a pair of Sidi Dragon 4's or Drako's. Can anyone offer any experience of these shoes? Are the Drako's worth the extra?

    Just got a pair of Dragon 4s myself - Xmas pressie. Worn them a couple of times and they are very comfy with plenty of room around the toes. Have replaced a pair of Shimano XC61s with them.

    I'd have liked the Drakos myself but they were a lot of extra money for what seems to be 3 boas vs 2 boas and a velcro strap and fully carbon rather than composite soles. I think the composite soles may stand up better to a few missed cleat/pedal attempts. They certainly appear less shiny/smooth.

    I think the uppers are pretty much identical, colours aside, and there's not much weight difference (both are heavier than my Shimanos)

    I'd have paid £20 maybe £30 more but not £60 or more.

    I have the Sidi Drako - I think they are great - they are very comfortable. I did get them at a huge reduction 50% off - imho they are certainly not worth £300+. I would imagine the dragons are excellent too.
