We've still got our bloody Christmas tree up  . Strifey wants to plant it in the garden for next year but we haven't got round to doing it yet."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

Christmas cake is bootiful. I prefer the one's with less icing sugar on them. In fact, I could do without it completely. Genoa fruit cake is a good 'off season' substitute.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

B0llocks to Christmas cake. Mince pies are where it's at. We're down to our last box, but still going strong.
And kudos to whoever still has their tree up. The OH insisted ours came down on the 12th, the night before the recyclers come to pick them up and turn them into wood chips, but if I had my way it would stay up till March.
What's not to like? Pretty lights, sparkly bits - Jan and Feb are feckin miserable usually so why not brighten it up a bit.Is the gorilla tired yet?0 -

You should get yourself into Waitrose in Newmarket. They've cocked up their mince pie ordering on an industrial scale and are flogging them off for next to nothing
