Supersix EVO v Supersix EVO Hi-Mod

I am sure this question has been asked before but for the life of me cannot find the thread?
My question is how much real world difference is there between the Supersix EVO frameset and the Supersix EVO Hi-Mod?
What is the difference between the 2, I would have thought the EVO Hi-mod would be lighter, more responsive, stiffer etc but would Joe Average notice the difference?
Through Pauls cycles I can get the EVO Ultegra complete bike for £1153 delivered and the EVO Hi-Mod frameset for £695 delivered (I live in the Channel Islands and we get the VAT knocked off), so can build a complete bike with new similar parts for around £1600.
I do prefer the look of the EVO Hi-Mod but am undecided as to whether or not the ride of the Hi-Mod is worth the additional £450-£500?

Obsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated!

£450 to save 300 grams I have both if I was blindfolded I would fall off. Can't tell the difference between the two though.
Great Bikes you wont be disappointed with either.0 -

You bought both ! Wow, that was an expensive experiment... Looking on the bright side, I hear blindfolds are cheap-ish :oops:0 -

I have heard nothing but good things about the supersix evo range (bottom bracket aside).
I read an article on BR a couple of years ago but think it's still relevant to your question. Hope this helps:
