Shimano XT gear cable compatible with Sram X9 shifter

Do we know if its compatible please folks, Was also hoping the outer would be one piece but the XT cable kit includes 5 pieces of outer (2 lots), i may have to return it! :cry:

    Yes, gear cables are standardised.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
