Good effort, but I think it's going to take a Contador resurrection to lure him back. Is Froome making more than Sagan?...a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0

Mods can't do anything about it even if we wanted to.
The red ones probably can.0 -

Is that when the Sky sponsorship ends?0

Nah. 2020 is that witching hour0 -

Have they definitely said this will be the case (2020?) What is the longest running main sponsor for a team? Someone on here will know...0
-
Lampre or FDJ would be my guess.
From the current ones anyway.0 -

Its the case at moment. The word a few months ago was that they would leave cycling sponsorship then. Jeremy Darroch and James Murdoch are infatuated with the Tour at present. Might change, might not.
As for the longest running main sponsor...hop over to Velorooms for a full breakdown of teams and sponsors doing back a good long stretch. Dimspace did it.0 -

Not everyone has the time to do live chats, Dipping in and out of this forum is more than enough time I know that I for one should be spending.
Dimspace is great, but Veloroom also has more than its share of nutters.0 -

If we're only going by time spent in the sport then of the current lot they're likely the longest. Though not always main sponsor and they've moved teams too.
FdJ and Lampre as main sponsor of the same team have both been around close to 20 years. The former possibly a year or two longer.
Peugeot must have a shout at longest ever though, if we go back? They must have been sponsoring teams for half a century +?
edit: alternatively, I could read to the end of the thread...Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

Good effort, but I think it's going to take a Contador resurrection to lure him back. Is Froome making more than Sagan?
Froome will earn €5.3 million per year by far the highest paid rider in the peleton. Sagan and Contador earn €4 million, Nibali a little less and Philippe Gilbert €3 million.ademort

Ta. It's the only thing in sport that's made any sense so far this year, if we ignore the Rick Crochet Mumsnet sock-puppet story....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0
