Bike for the wife

Evening all,

The wife wants to get herself a bike to help get herself in to shape. My knowledge of anything other than Road bikes is limited to say the least. However, we do have some requirements:

Hybrid bike, she wants to ride both on and off road (nothing more hardcore than canal paths)
Needs to be able to get a child seat on the back
Disc brakes, preferably hydraulic
£600 absolute maximum, would prefer less though

We have seen this at Halford, it looks decent although not sure about getting a child seat on the back:

Any other suggestions?

As is traditional, for this site, share pics of the wife and I'll see if I have a bike to swap!

The Marasa is blinding value, especially if an 18" fits and you can go for last years model

I can't tell from any of the Pics if they have rear dropouts with bolt holes to take a rack for a kiddies seat on these or the 13, but I know the older Marasa did.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
