Hi
I'm looking to buy a full sus bike & have about a £2000 budget
Have been advised in the direction of 2016 cube stereo 160 hpa race, but does anyone know of a reason why I shouldn't go for the fritzz?
Can't find many reviews on them
Hope you can help

Well, what kind of riding do you do? One reason why I wouldn't recommend the Fritzz is that it doesn't climb as well as the Stereos...-Cube Acid 29" 2013

What do you plan on using it for? 180mm is a bit of a no mans land for travel; more than an "enduro" bike, but not enough for full downhill. Usually more of a freeride number, but Cube say "blurs the line between enduro and downhill". They don't know what it's for and nor does anyone elseCurrent fleet

Yeah sorry, bpw, cwmcarn, mountain ash, smeilog and repetitive goes up and down sections of trail that I like, want to start pushing it a bit harder and got a good idea of the setup I'd like ie. Fox float front & back with settings, 1x11, 650, modern measurements & angles, nice to have dropper & 4 pots
Think I can see myself moving away from long distance days out with lots of climbing but don't really mind repetitive climbs to get multiple quality runs0 -
Sorry!
These are bike park Wales, cwmcarn downhill/bike park, other two are my local trail/downhill locations (club managed) all South Wales area0 -
I spent forever choosing a new bike last August to replace my trusty Giant Trance. I had roughly the same budget as you. In the end after much debate I plumped for a Spectral AL 7.0ex. Brilliant machine. Was very worried about SRAM kit but the gears have been absolutely first rate - no problems and rock solid. I've always preferred Shimano brakes - the Avid brakes were my first upgrade on the Trance. The Guide R's have worked faultlessly so far. The wheels less so. Had to replace a bearing in the rear within the first 3 months - but it had had a pretty tough time in the mud and water. Also the cable routing for the rear derailleur wasn't great, but easily rectified. IMO the 7.0ex is the sweet spot in the range. Getting the size right is also tricky with the Spectral. I'm 6' 2" and went for a large - which is just about big enough - I expect I could probably ride an XL comfortably.Canyon Spectral 7.0ex 2015
