Hi all,
Bit of advice/info needed please. I'm putting some bits up for sale in the classifieds section, I've got a near brand new pair of Gatorskins I'm looking to sell but don't have a clue what the postage is going to cost, they are the wired type so folding them into a small package is out of the question.

Does anyone know approx how much they would cost to post and a good way of packaging them?
(When I got them delivered they were wrapped in a bin bag which was all torn, so I don't really want to try that)

Any help appreciated.
Cheers. Gareth

Thanks for the reply, but is it ok to fold wired tyres?

Send 2nd class* at the Post Office (wrapped as a parcel) for £2.75

*I've been told by a Parcel Force employee that 1st and 2nd class parcels get transported together.

1st and 2nd class might get transport together but they don't get sorted together. 2nd class gets sorted after all the 1st class. So the 2nd class parcels in the truck with the 1st class won't necessarily have been posted on the same day.
  • I use Hermes and Collect+ for just about everything now, depending on weight. Mostly because dropping it off at the corner shop or garage late in the evening is just easier than queueing at the post office.

  • well i got caught out sending a couple of spiked tyres last week and as they were over 2kg ended up shelling out £12 to post em at the post office.
i i hadnt got a cracking price for them and had to work the next 4 days i would have waited and tried another carrier. if you do use royal mail check their website for posting costs so you wont be out of pocket.

£6.29 or £7.29 for Collect+ depending on delivery.

    £5.79 for Hermes.

And remember there's a shop bound to be close to you
