Hi

Will be out in the Alps near Bourg in June and hoping to get a few days cycling in, just wondering if anyone could recommend some decent hire places in that area. Will have car so can travel a bit.

Searched on the forum and only came across these.

Any recommendations much appreciated.

Cheers

We were out the in 2014 and my mate used Bleach (the shop, not the drain cleaner): http://www.bleach-xtremsports.com/cote_cycle-location_velo.html
Very helpful, friendly, and not the most expensive.

Not sure but there's at least a couple of places that rent bikes in the centre on town - both looked OK and at least one of them had smart bikes

    I used Prompt.cc a few years ago.

They were pretty good and right in the town centre. You have to leave your passport with them for the duration of the hire though. It didn't sit well with me but had no option really given that I was there to cycle and couldn't have hired a bike otherwise. Advise booking in advance though, tends to get busy.

Shops in town and http://www.cyclehuez.com/rental-info/. We got our shirts there, English guy married to an Aussie, nice stable of williers. We met a Welsh couple picking their bikes up in there.
  • Just to say though the shop you found yourself is a nice shop with a large selection of bikes and clothing etc so would not be a bad choice.
  • Thanks for the info guys will check out the links.

If I remember correctly Cadre Rouge Velos in Bourge D'Oisain hire out KTM bikes and were a decent spec/price.

All bikes looks well maintained and were new at the time - summer 2014
