Ran my previous Trek Madone 3.5 for 2 years and really enjoyed it, but really wanted discs and di2 for winter, so here it is:

Kinesis 4s Disc 54cm
Ultegra di2 & RS series flatmount calipers
50/34 & 11-28
Hunt 4 seasons disc wheels
Conti 4 seasons 25mm
Selle Italia carbon seat post
Selle Italia SLR seat
SKS 'guards
Garmin outfront

Nice and light for the money, 'guards are rattle free, gears "just work", brakes appear good and should be trouble free....

Need to chop the steerer and get a big ol' flap for the rear

Built by Westbrook cycles who I was very impressed with, same can't always be said of other outlets.. :D

  • Nice - liking that......
  • Where does one buy those flaps? I would like a proper set as opposed to a botch.

    Nice bike BTW.

Thanks, I like the blue, but it would've clashed with my helmet & winter jacket

  • That looks fantastic!
I am very fond of the 4s bikes- if my current frame ever breaks then I'll be going for a 4s as its replacement. If that happens before I get a dedicated racing machine then I'd have to put mechanicals on it, but then there is the beauty of being able to go over to disks in the future.

Probably one of the most sensible frames made yet!

That's a cracker! I have the original Racelight Tk, originally as my only bike, for year round, all weather riding. Now it's my dedicated wet weather bike. Just over 8 years old and still looks lovely; can honestly say I enjoy riding it as much as the carbon summer bike. If it died tomorrow I'd be ordering a 4S disc to replace it...

Thanks everyone. I've done around 150 miles on it and it's a really good bike. Almost perfect for winter riding in the UK.

The brakes are excellent, good modulation and does give you a bit more confidence compared to rim brakes in poor weather.

Di2 for winter!!!!! I can only wish - lovely bike though, and on my desire list as next winter bike albeit with mechanical groupset. I also have T2 and it's phenomenal for the price and would be very happy if only bike.

    Nice 8)

How are the Hunt wheels? Been looking at the rim brake ones for the Helium.

Hi, No idea I'm afraid. Heavier than my old Trek Madone 3.5, but in no way a heavyweight. The comfort in comparison to the old bike is exceptional. It's covered 200 miles now and it's just been ace!

In regards to the Hunt Wheels: They are very very good for the money, seem to be built well, relatively light & roll great. I got them for £300, so slightly cheaper than direct from Hunt.

The only changes will be chopping the steerer & fitting the extended mudflap.
