Hi,

I'm a pretty keen 'weekend' cyclist and I'm currently looking at getting folding bikes for myself and 2 kids (10 & 11 years old)

I've no experience with folding bikes what so ever (!) and 'Plan A' is to get a decent one for myself and two less expensive ones for the kids.

No idea where to start!

Does anyone have any recommendations!?

Many Thanks In Advance,
Fergus

How far are you cycling on them ? Have you tried a Brompton ?

    Hi & thanks for replying,

Distance wise, with the kids, I should imagine a typical ride would be anywhere between 12 to 16 miles round trip.

By myself up to 25 miles.

I have actually tried a Brompton and I didn't like it. I felt 'perched' and too straight backed. They are also fearsomely expensive as well and outside of my price range (especially as I'm looking for 3 bikes!)

    Any suggestions welcome!
