Picked up a new Kinesis 4s disc today and the shop the left the full steerer un-cut with the spacers below.
I've now removed the majority of these spacers and refitted the bars, stem etc-all fine

The top cap when put back now appears to be too big and overlaps? Do I just need to buy a smaller cap?

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by overlaps? When you say you removed the spacers to (presumably) change the stem height, did you put them back on? The spacers or stem (whichever is on top) should sit above the top of the fork steerer by 5mm or so? If it is just too big for the spacers but fits into place fine its just an aesthetics thing, as long as you can preload the headset properly.

thanks. I think I've figured it out. Just need to get the steerer cut down and the stem cap will fit correctly.
