Hi All,
I have recently picked up this Alan bike and wanted to know if anyone knows anything about it, its been well used, and needs a good clean and re spray. The hubs needs a rebuild and the chain has had it, and wheels need a trueing. ( I am a rider not a mechanic ) I am not sure if I keep it or sell it. If I sell it any ideas of worth. Its super light and seems very fast.

Alan frames are sort after, if you not mechanical minded best sell on.0

If it's an aluminium lugged frame then they were anodised not painted. Should be a date stamped on it (usually at the top of the seat tube) Front of the head tube has a tendency of splitting so check that it's ok.
This was mine until a couple of months ago. Now with a new owner to enjoy

Pedant mode...
...Not great advice for grammar either, sort is a noun, the verb you want is the past tense of seek, i.e. Soughtmy isetta is a 300cc bike0 -
every thing described is very fixable. I have one of these well not that model and they are fine bikes. Worth keeping and worth putting right if you want to ride it.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0
