Hello All,

Am thinking of sending my bike to Germany - Munich (if the courier cost is cheaper than hiring the bike there) - probably I will need the bike for 5-7 day trip around Garmisch.

Any courier companies you could recommend (DPD, UPS, Yodel)?

What would be the rough cost ?

What is the best way to pack it up if sending via courier (i.e. special bike bag or standard bike box).

Many thanks,

Chris

  • If you have a transport box to post it in then sending by courier would be easy. If you want a price comparison try Parcels 2 Go or Interparcel (google them), they have accounts with all of the biggest couriers and will quote you a selection of suppliers and service levels with the option to add insurance and txt message service when it's delivered.

If you don't have a transport box then I really wouldn't bother as most couriers aren't careful with things.
