Erotica shoes

I typed eroica, but I prefer the iPad version!
Thought we needed a thread about shoes
I didn't know that old school cycling shoes are sized correctly!
I bought these really nice shoes, online from a private seller, they are brand new, 80's style, I always buy cycling shoes one size larger, I am a 41 so I bought these 42's, they are one size too big!
Where do you think is the best place to try and sell them, on eBay or retro bike or BR?

They would suit Dirk down to a "T" - what sort of price would you be looking for, considering they are now 3rd hand?Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

What's the fitting like (wide, narrow.)?
Can't see on the soles either - all ok for cleats?Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Where to start...I think people in the past had slim feet as the photos show, probably fewer lardy mamils in those days, I think it's down to diet
By eroica shoes I meant pre 1987, unless you are in possession of some 1985 original look pedals, rat trap toe clips didn't need cleats only flat, slightly grippy soles, like shown in the photo
May head off to speak with the purists over on retrobike
Edit: eat toast and cheese, raise blood glucose, reduces sarcasm...
what I meant was, Matt, they are slim and don't have any holes in the soles.my isetta is a 300cc bike0 -
No dramas - the fit would have been fine but if no cleat holes then it's a no - sorry.
Thought they may have had the old "removable section in the sole for cleats or leave in for real retro look" jobby.
Thank you very much anyway.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

I was expecting shoes more like this:
Not sure if they take road or MTB cleats.0 -

No offense at all taken by me - it's the fact they aren't cleat compatible that I'm annoyed by.
Re the second shoes - I've seen a video with Dita Von Steele and a pair of those. Worth Googling at work if you get the chance.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am
