Hi there am pritty new to the world of mtb I have had few hardtails over the years I normally ride the trails at winlatter forrest in Cumbria. However probably try some more bike parks in the future.

I have been looking for new full sus bike now for few months and narrowed it down to these 2
There both same price. The Fox set up and the nice paint work draws me to the cube but the overall value for money and good rep for the capra makes it hard to decide.

Is the FoX set up bether than the roxshox of the capra ??

Will i regret the 1x11 of the cube on the up hills ?

And overall witch bike do use think should go for

Am going to test ride both bikes before I buy.

Links help. Both Fox and RS make various bits of suspension, some good, some not so good.

Fox make some stinkers (as do RS) they both make good stuff as well, in this case the suspension on the YT just pips the Cube, but that would only count if all else where equal.

Only you know if the lowest gear on the 1x11 is enough for you, work out the lowest gear ratio you use now and compare to the gear ratio on these. Neither is a bike that is any fun uphill anyway but the Cube is probably the slightly easier of the two as the Capra is a bit tank like uphills.

Do you really need that length travel, a good 130-140mm bike will be much more fun locally, better uphills and not necessarily give anything away going down.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Wot the Rookie says!! Some very good options with shorter travel that will ride much better for most of your riding and will still be well ahead of most people's capabilities downhill as well!

You might want to look at this as well (140mm travel):

Also, a Giant Trance could be nice

I'd say a Trance would suite much better than either of those, as someone 'pretty new' it's unlikely he will need anything more at all for a bike park while it would be an order of magnitude nicer to ride at winlatter (like actually be enjoyable!).

The Capra is a real tank to ride uphill but the Cube has wallowey suspension. I would consider something else like a Mondraker Foxy, Giant Reign or Transition Patrol.

Just a note too, that locally to me few people in a bike shop will touch a YT to work on, some say they think they are poorly made(no idea myself on that). but mostly they don't want to mess up any warranty on them and so on. weird but true.

Wouldn't go for either personally. Heard too many people go from ranting about their glorious new Capra they've ordered to how much effort it is to ride almost everywhere. And I'm not fond of Cubes on the whole.

My vote would be for a Trance or Foxy, avoiding anything with CTD.

You might struggle with that. YT are direct sales only, so they aren't available through bike shops or retailers like Evans etc.

Try riding it up a hill, just make sure you have a defibrillator in your pack.
