I am looking at buying a bike with crank brothers cobalt 3 wheels but im sceptical about them in terms of strength and flex.

Are they flexy, I am use to Mavic xm317s (low budget wheel and hardly comparable but its my only basis)
Will they handle all black trail centres and the odd spell at Innerleithen and natural rides like Torridon with ease?
What would you say is there limit?
Can they be trued once buckled?

Another bike I am looking at is a canyon with DT Swiss M 1491 Spline, 30 mm on but cant seem to find any info or reviews on them,.....

Thanks for the help

They don't have the best reputation for longevity, additionally there are a lot of bespoke parts making spares both expensive and frequently not available in a hurry.

Any wheel that goes out of true can be fixed, a buckled rim (where the rim has deformed in form rather than just no longer been true) is always scrap.

Some people are happy to pay silly money for them though, so you could buy the bike, sell them 'as new' (unridden) and buy something like a Hope/Crest or Flow without it costing you much if anything.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

The biggest (of many) problems with Crank Brothers wheels are useless bearings and a lack of available spares like spokes and freehubs.
If the bike is good then just sell the wheels and buy some better ones.
