Specialized stumpjumer HT comp M5 29 vs Scott scale 940

I'm looking to buy a good aluminum hard tail MTB and shortlisted these 2.
They are both exactly the same price, the Scott 940 seems to have slightly better fork, brakes and transmission but I have the impression that the specialized is more reliable and long lasting.
Maybe it is just my impression, I'd like to have your opinion especially on the reliability of the frame considering I'm looking for a long lasting bike.

All I can say is I've still got a M4 stumpjumper from 2008 going strong with original fox forks F90rl and just converted it to 1x10.
Love the lightness of it and the playfulness of it and makes a change from my 27.5 SC.
Only thing I missed was a dropper post.0 -

The Scott has better brakes, better shifters and front mech (OK it's only really a weight saving), the Shimano crankset is also longer lived and it has a Shimano cassette (last longer than SRAM in my experience), so while personally I'd prefer the RS forks on the Spesh the Scott is the one I'd buy of the two.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
