I've had Boa on my S-Works road shoes for a few year now and I really really rate them - to the point that I just bought S-Works MTB shoes. I like the adjustment - you can even tweak them as you ride or after you've put on overshoes. Seem very robust too.

  • My nice pair of shoes have Boa lace up, and I like them alot. As above they are easy to adjust, and as mine have only one dial it means there is an even pressure across the top of the foot.

Also, Boa offer spares kits for if you ever break a cable (you won't- they are silly strong) or a ratchet wears out.
  • All my cycling shoes have laces, I like them a lot - thinking of adding a pair of Empire SLXs. I don't feel the need to adjust my shoes as I ride, though. If you do, you're probably better off with Boa.
