Help on choosing right stem.

I'm not an experienced road cyclist so I'm hoping for some expert advice.
My lovely wife bought me a Pinarello Dogma and it came with a Most Talon integrated stem and bars. I don't like the shape of them so I've put an old aluminum stem and set of bars on which are a lot more comfortable.
I would like to buy a better aluminum stem but have no idea what to go for. Could anyone recommend a top notch aluminum stem and maybe some bars as well?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The length I want is 110 mm if that helps, and preferably with a slight rise in it.

Deda Zero 100 bar and stem. Good shape, good value, lightweight and strong.0

+1 for the Deda Zero - excellent quality without spending silly money.

For bars you could also consider the Bontrager VR -C bars if you're not fussed about matching the bars to the stem

That's a bargain price for a nice looking stem. The Bontrager bars have been discontinued though which is a shame.0

Appear to be still on offer from Scotby Cycles in Carlisle. And also Triton Cycles. I'd give them both a call to confirm availability.

This is what I run on my good bike - looks fantastic in wet black too. Can normally get good deals from European retailers.0 -

What they said, for a top end bike you can not go wrong with Ritchey. Matching Ritchey handle bar and stem will look great on your bike.0 -
I have nothing useful to add, but I would like to know if your Pinarello Dogma buying wife has a sister?0

Note that the Deda Zero 1 and Deda Zero 100 range are quite different. I use the latter stems and bars on both of my bikes.+1 for the Deda Zero - excellent quality without spending silly money.

I've got Ritchey bars on my bike at the minute. I was looking at the Ritchey stem but wasn't sure how good they are. So many stems, so little time.0

Used WCS stems for years and can't fault them - light, stiff, look really good in wet black.
Ref Pinarello buying wife's sister, and others kicking around? Even an equally generous cousin?Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

In that case, how about a Pinarello buying aunt? Niece? Any relations that care to buy me and dude above a Pinarello? Pinarelli? Pinarellae surely, as its neuter...................Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

The WCS 260 is indeed a good stem, but it can only be used with certain bars due to the 260 deg clamp. It works perfectly with the Evo Curve and will work with some flat top bars, but it's almost impossible with some others. If you fancy the WCS then go for the newer 220 which opens up more options. Saying that I ran a 260/Evo Curve in wet black and it was a great combo - I'm now using it with an FSA K-Force Compact. The 260/220 are some of the lightest stems on the market and make carbon offerings look pointless.
As also mentioned the Deda Zero 100 is a great bar - add in a Deda Superleggero alu stem and you've got another great lightweight combo.0 -
Zip make some nice stems, and they use Torx screws which I like.
I have a 120 and a 130, both very good.0 -
