SRAM cassette-pg1170-11-speed with 105 Crank issues

Hi all,
My first ever post, so be kind.
I recently fitted the above SRAM 11speed cassette to a set-up that has Rivel 22 front and rear mech, a Shimano 5800/11 speed compact crank running a Shim HG X11 chain. The cassettes are both 11-32 and the Shimano was smooth when turning the crank however with the SRAM cassette the smoothness has been replaced with a lumpy/almost stuttering action.
Could it be there is a compatibility issue between the SRAM cassette and Shimano crank and/or chain? All are 11 speed components,
TIA

Just need a bit of clarification. Can you just confirm that the new SRAM 11-32 cassette was replacing a Shimano 5800 11-32 cassette. That's what I'm inferring from your question but it's not absolutely clear from your description.
The 105 crank should make no difference to your gear shifting. However when you change cassettes there is often a slight difference to the alignment which needs tweaking in the indexing to get smooth changes.
Was the change due to the fact that the previous cassette was worn out? If so did you fit a new chain as well as fitting the new SRAM cassette. If not that is most likely the issue. An old chain will never run well when matched up with a new cassette, Best practice is to swap chain and cassette when they are worn0 -
That's correct Arlo - replaced the 11-32 Shimano with the new SRAM 11-32 (optimising all my spares to upgrade a winter bike which was running Tiagra). The chain has done 3000+ miles this year pulling my big frame around Sussex as well as a LEJOG in the summer so will look into replacing that.
I am/was pretty confident I could run a SRAM cassette with a Shimano crank and chain but wondered whether the 11 speed versions exposed a mis-match of tolerances which the 10 speed versions coped with..

Now that you've clarified the situation I'm 100% convinced that your problem stems from trying to run a worn chain on a new cassette. Get yourself a new chain ( I'd recommend a KMC X11)

Thereafter your shifting should be sorted.
Quick ready reckoner here to sort out sizing the length of the new chain:-
