Handle bars will be too rattley, helmets are rubbish. Use a chest strap.Advocate of disc brakes.0

Use a chest strap.

Just experiment and get creative. The best videos use several different shooting methods and perspectives.0

I've got both the harness and a Superstar Garmin/GoPro handlebar mount. Before I got the handlebar mount I was using the harness which is fine but now I prefer just to use the handlebar mount.
The harness is fine if you want to include your hands/hoods in the shot but, personally, I don't want anything attached to me that might cause me a problem if I have an "off". I certainly wouldn't attach anything to my helmet. That's just my view of course. Worth experimenting to see what works for you.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

Yea just looked at one of the combo's which would work really well with my Garmin 8) the buggers are expensive though :oops:0 -
Have as look at the Superstar one although I think they may be out of stock at the moment.

Perhaps worth giving them a call and seeing when/if they will have them in again.
Here's mine....

The same price as they are advertising now... £19.99.
Nicely made, adjustable and very secure. Very pleased with mine. If fact I want one for one of my other bikes and was going to order another one so I'm interested to know when they will get them in again.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

I emailed superstar and they said they were working on new items, no more info and when back in stock. So ordered Garmin's combo vibe mount which fits with GoPro's and comes in at £25. Couldn't find anything cheaper.0

I've got this one and for the money, it's brilliant. make sure it's attached properly and play around with the camera angle - remembering to change the setting as the camera is inverted and you'll get great results.
Well worth waiting for it to come back into stock.0 -
I had a GoPro mount fail on a road ride - camera fell, case broke open, camera busted and I lost the memory card (frustrating as I'd just done a 59mph descent). GoPro said I'd done the "screw" up too tight: I asked what the torque spec was and they told me they didn't have one  Anyway, I'd recommend a tether (making sure it hangs safely - not into the front wheel) as, had that mount failed on the fast descent, it would have caused mayhem in the trailing pack.
Personally I find most cycling videos (including my own) very boring.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

Stills are so much better for that.
I use my GoPro for my car racing which is (often) more dynamic and I use to to critique my driving/lines etc.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

I would suggest getting the standard k edge handlebar mount & using a separate mount for the garmin /gps.
The combo mount is prone to provide shaky footage (drove me mad).
Check out this video https://youtu.be/nZftbFqZbws
Hopefully you won't experience this problem but if you do go back to a single mount for each.
Oh & I have found the best position to mount the camera is under the bars (nicely out the way) although you have to accept road spray means muck on the lens /housing which does show up in the video (although this is inevitable wherever you mount it from my experience)0 -
If your'e only doing it occassionally and want to do it on the cheap, you can do what I do. I don't even use the case, try and get the lens as central on the bars as possible, I rest the gopro on a folded up washing up foam&scourer pad and simply tape it to the handlebars with electrical tape. Been doing it like this for years and its gives my favourite view as you can see the riders action on the brakes and gears, and in this vid you can see the hood rubber on the left shifter is folding back and I've made a bit of a cack handed effort at getting it central, the OCD among you will hate it! Considering this option costs about £2 it gives decent pictures too.
Here's one of my vids for an example of the shots, this is on a shonkily surfaced back lane in Mid Wales and its still OK pictures, sorry the sound/wind is awful tho so best to mute it.

Sell it on eBay and buy something cheaper for cycling like the 40 quid Xiaomi Yi then you won't be concerned about breaking it.
For mounting, use this: http://www.gearbest.com/photography-accessories/pp_140063.htmlBASI Nordic Ski Instructor

handlebars are fine - I don't notice any vibration on replay.
Possible tip - video hill/interval sessions and put them on a USB stick - watch them on the TV /monitor and do the same length intervals in bad weather on the turbo.0 -
I just use the cheap stem mount you can pick up on ebay for a fiver or so. There may be a bit of vibration when you film it - but youtube can take that out for you.
Or just check out Go Pro race footage if you want something to turbo too - thats good for getting involved.0 -
Its finally turned up & cannot wait to test it out0
