A while ago i stupidly sold my 456c and am currently riding and quite enjoying a whyte 46 but have the urge to make one or two changes. Only thing is I don't know if it's worth it so hoping someone on here may be able to help.
Among other things I'm thinking of changing the maveric forks for something like revelations to give a bit more adjustment and allow more choice of stems and bars.
Are these bikes worth spending money on or should I look to trade it? I really miss my long travel hardtail

It really depends on whether or not you enjoy riding the 46. If so, upgrades may well be worth it, if applied wiselyCurrent fleet

would you not have to change hub to fit different forks?0

Surely that depends on the fork. Get a better one with the same axle standard and the existing hub is fine.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Yes, that's one of my thoughts too. The maveric uses something like a 27mm hub and the other possible issue is I'm not sure tapered steerers will fit the frame so I would need to find a decent used set of forks with straight steerer.0 -

Not sure if this would work on your bike http://www.jensonusa.com/Headsets/Cane-Creek-40-Series-EC4440-Bottom-Cup?SSAID=3898180 -

fork uses a non standard axle size0 -
Not sure it's going to be cost effective to change the fork unless I can find a buyer for the maverick (apparently they are popular with fat bikes though)
I have also found someone who still sells spares and stems etc. they are in the states so postage isn't cheap but in case anyone else is looking, check out http://www.mavericksuspension.com. Been very helpful and just unfortunate that they aren't in the uk.0
