I've used axiom skewer mounts for mudguards on my road bike, which will work for a rack but depends on how much weight you are putting on the rack. They are a slight pain when if you have a puncture or need to remove the wheel as you need to completely remove the skewer.
You might be better off returning the Dx rack and getting a seatpost mounted rack?Bianchi Infinito CV

Thanks t4tomo,
I'd not heard of those skewer mounts before.
I think I'd favour the P-Clips based on price and hassle removing the wheel.

They should be fine unless you know otherwise?
Returning it could be an option but it was a gift and I've cut all the tags off now. DOH!0 -
Yes they should be fine, they will also give you flexibility to mount it out of the way of the brake gubbins.Bianchi Infinito CV
