Gilet choice

I've got a £50 Wiggle voucher burning a hole in my virtual pocket and am looking to spend it on a gilet. The 2 below have caught my eye :

Both come in at just below the £50 in their sale. The Sportful one is thinner/lighter and looks to pack down really small. The DHB one looks to offer a bit more protection and is waterproof. It's probably a bit heavier and bigger when packed.

Anyone got any experience of either or have any alternative suggestions? Likely use is for cold starts on longer rides or if things turn a little cold.

I've got the Sportful one and I'm happy with. It's light and packs down in it's own stuff sack to the size of your fist. Takes up little space in your jersey pocket so good for putting on for the first bit of your ride if it's chilly or taking just in case the weather turns. Windproofing is excellent considering it's so light. No downsides for me.

Depends what you want really. Mate has the sportful and it's nice. Very lightweight so it just keeps the wind off you and no more.

Cheaper and warmer but not what you want if you want a packable top.
