Lezyne CO2 half-used canisters

Apologies if this is answered elsewhere but a search didn't come up with anything.
I've just used a lezyne CO2 canister system (a 'control drive' http://www.lezyne.com/product-CO2-infl-ctrldrive.php#.Vnw8pjaDXeQ) and I don't think i've used that much of the 25g canister. The youtube video from lezyne suggests that you should let the excess/remainder from the canister and dispose of it but this seems a waste
What do other users do? Do you just leave the half finished canister attached until you need it next time - will it just slowly leak out and leave me with no puff?

I have only ever used them once. Just too hard to estimate whats left and they are so cheap anyway. Not sure if they leak but I guess you can test it before a ride in the next couple of weeks when you need some air. Oh and dont forget to post your results on here!Stay positive people
