So what's your Pro Race moment or highlights of the year 2015?
Nominations please, ideally with accompanying images or You Tube clip.
I'll maybe do a poll if there's interest.*
>Tony Martin attacks to take yellow after 2 days of trying. Only to crash out on stage 6.

Probably didn't see as much as most of you but Bardets descent on stage 5 of the Criterium de Dauphine was memorable

As was Steve Cummings win on stage 14 of the TDF

Not so much Sagans winning attack or holding off the chasers, but seeing how happy is rivals were that he got the win, says a lot IMO

Boshing the two Frenchies on home soil when they should have had it sewn up was just awesome. 8)0 -

Iljo's win on the last stage of the Giro.
Or adopting Gijs van Hoecke"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I loved Froome's big stage win, but for me as a single moment, Stannard gets my vote.0

One moment amongst many was Mark Cavendishs' ride in the nationals. It was a truly remarkable show of never give up and he was still trying to go on the climb at the end. When you try to work out the difference beteween world class - just watch that performance of a world class sprinter on a circuit with a climb against a ridear with a team around him0

That time when that 10 year old won a stage of the Giro. Was a cracking stage aswell

Absolutely. Got the year off to a great start, but obviously forgotten by most when the bigger races took place.0 -
Contador winding in a hapless Aru on a mountain stage in the Giro (stage 16 – https://youtu.be/93tA6EvrioA?t=58 ) was also an entertaining watch.0

Ian Stannard is my 25 mile highlght this year with 3 of the "best Flanders team" mates working my man over for 40 km's and he still wins his 2nd consecutive Omloop....http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V1Ge3liCgUE. 16 times I've visited this race in the past.
I can agree to a lesser degree with other choices and would like to mention that little fella Esteban Chaves who made an impression in the Vuelta and also The World Time Trial Champion Vasil Kiryienka.Organiser, National Championship 50 mile Time Trial 19720 -
My initial thought was another vote for Yogi, but reading through the thread there are few suggestions I'd argue with, and Armitstead at the World Championships was special.0

Every world tour rider can climb, you can't get round the tour without being able to climb ridiculously well, Lincoln being a short punchy climb probably suits fav better than you would think. (didn't watch nationals but will take some ride for someone to take it away from sky)
Look at GP Plouay the amateurs races is always in bits whereas the pros stays together much more as to normal people they are hard climbs in succession to pros they can all get over them.0 -
A moment that reminds you that no matter who wins we should be happy as true fans of cycling races and although our favorites are beaten. So my choice: the last 5 km of stage 1, Tour de Yorkshire. I did not miss many races in 2015, even the Tour de Langkawi on the site of a Malaysian sports channel. Many exciting races and stages in 2015 but this is my moment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uH9DIHCk0b80

My choice too. I've gone back and watched it a few times now and in never fails to excite.0 -

.
well thanks for your invaluable insight
Yes that's 3 Sky riders around Cav and one of them is Stannard and he still finished second only 5 secs down on Kennaugh

Cummings' win was sweeter IMO as he wasn't a favourite, was riding for a wildcard team and came from apparently nowhere to jump them in the last few hundred metres. Plus he did it in the TdF, and there is no bigger stage than that.
Stannard's win was still awesome, but he'll get more, and possibly bigger wins.0 -
That's absolutely my favourite moment too. Guffaws!0 -
I know it went wrong and was an error in hindsight but still one of my moments of the 2015 season
agreed that was class0 -
Tony Martins smile after stage 5 TDF. And Boonens smile after Satan won the World's. Both seem like genuinely nice guys (based upon zero real world experienxe).0
