Powertap SL2.4 - ANT+ compatible?

I've got an old Powertap 2.4 and was wondering whether I can pair it with a different head unit (ideally a Joule 2.0) to the one it came with. I think this boils down to whether it is ANT+ compatible or not - anyone any ideas? I fear they might have used their own protocol back in the day...

I fear you're right, PT2.4 was not ANT+, you could buy a dongle thing that plugged in and flashed the firmware to make it ANT+ compatible, not sure if you'd be able to get hold of one nowadays though
