I have a pair of hydraulic brakes and the hose has started looking tatty but still in working condition. After looking at the cost of replacing them I thought I would not bother. Then I had a thought why not put heat shrink over and see what it looks like after all I was going to shorten the hose. Result I don't think you would know the difference between what I have done and the Goodridge hose apart from not having the name Goodridge on. If your hose is the correct length just get heat shrink in a larger size than the 6mm I used, it does shrink a hole lot and comes in lots of colours.
