I must admit I've nearly done that myself. Not that I condone such things, but I can't help thinking there may be a second side to that story.

Cyclist can't be condoned but if his life has just been put at risk he's probably acted in the heat of the moment. I'm sure he hasn't done it for fun but probably regrets it now.
