Guys girls, my boy will be getting a 2nd hand Orbea MX 24in bike for Xmas
http://www.orbea.com/gb-en/bicycles/mx-24-dirt/
I have a few plans for it, 1x10 shimano! Disc! Carbon rigid forks!
Can someone recommend me some rims to use??
Stans crest would be amazing but they are too expensive by the time I factor in spokes/build cost... (
The hubs I'll be using are XT 36h, would like the rims to be lightweight and black!! My boys only 6 so strength isn't really a big factor.... I'm struggling to find uk stockist of the Alex rims (
Thanks in advance

If you are changing all that you may as well start with a Carrera Blast!
i'd get some 28 or 32H hubs for a child that age!
The right type of 24" rims seem thin on the ground in the UK, plenty are made, none are sold (it seems).Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
doubt you'll find any ace 20 if thats what you're after. you should be able to find some velocity aeroheat or Alienation Deviant in the correct ERD of 507.
