Hello Forum. I just puchased an used Kona bike that has a Rockshox fork with rim brake option (adaptor and bolts) but I am using it with disk brakes. The rim option is currently useless on my bike and I would like to see if anyone has explore using the rim adaptor/bolts to install any other useful option for the mountain bike; ea: front light, bag support, etc. Thanks

Just blank them off and get on and ride.....
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
  • I'm with rookie. Never heard of them being used for anything else.

Of course, you could use them for pretty much anything if you custom make the mountings.

Not sure on the wisdom of adding extra weight to your fork lowers though... I'm sure somebody else here can advise on that.
