Rock 'N Roll Lubes

I am very happy to pass on the news, [oh it's the little things in life that make you happy!], that Rock 'N Roll lubes are now back on sale in the UK.
For those not in the know, the Gold is simply the best lube I've ever tried. Clean lubed chain all day everyday. Bloody miracle stuff.
As it's petrolish based, it got banned last year from flying from the US.
The nice man at The Cycle Clinic is now the importer, and will happily supply people, but what he really wants is for people to ask their LBS to get it from him.
I'm so happy I'm even going to try the Extreme blue stuff over winter as well.
Spread the love & order some for Xmas.

I'm now using 3in1 from Wilko. No problem with the performance, price or supplies0

Hmm,
I'm happy if you're happy.
I too have been down the 3-in-1 road. It is very dirty.0 -
Hate the stuff, think it's gash. Finish Line Ceramic Wax in the warmer months. Teflon Dry in the wetter months.0

Roc N Roll Extreme and Gold are two of my face lubes. I pretty much use the latter all year round.
So, the cyclists' Oil of Olay then?0 -

I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

Looking at the website, he won't sell the small bottles separately due to some postage issue....which is strange... I just went onto ebay and bought a bottle of gold and extreme off someone there instead.0 -
I think Squirt is better, although The Gold is a close second0

You can't argue with hard facts:
Although, admittedly I'd prefer something that I have to clean less frequently than saves me a Watt or two.0 -

But this is the best

And you get soft hands after applying.0 -
Rock n roll does not have to be applied to frequently. I get a week out of an application currently unless it is really wet. I ride 500km a week.
Paraffin wax is meant to be good not quite so easy applying it though.
Two reasons why I don't sell the small bottles. 1) royal mail ban the sending of flammable liquids through there network. Rock n roll lubes are technically flammable and I have a Royal mail account. I don't want that cancelled. If other sellers want to take the risk that is up to them.
2) by not selling the 4oz bottles I am saying to other shops I will not taking your sales (In fact I directed one chap this week to a local LBS that has the lube rather than sell him a bottle). This is a good thing for a distributor.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0 -

You use DRY lube in WET weather? Doesn't your bike explode?!0 -
When R'n'R was unavailable I was using Finish Line Dry, red bottle, great stuff and shifting but it's really difficult to clean off, ordinary solvents wouldn't touch it except wd40, and although it says Finish Line Dry, it's not, so slightly messy.
R'n'R is pretty amazing considering it's so clean and dry, with no mess at all, glad it's back on the market!!0 -
