jersey length - all too long?

It seems all S/S jerseys are too long for me - put anything sizeable in the back pockets and they sag way too low. Are there any recommendations for shorter-bodied jerseys? The GCN kit may fit (pun intended), but is a little pricey.......

The GCN kit is made by Santini so if that stuff fits you then have a look at some of their other designs. ProBikeKit often have good discounts on Santini gear.

What are you putting in there ? If you have tools and things - put them in a seatpack. Problem sorted !
  • Another vote for Santini. Alternatively, you could go for an aero, or race cut, which tend to sag less. I find the cut to be more of a factor than length when it comes to sagging pockets.

Yes I think the cut is more important - Santini isn't short - I actually like it because it's quite long in the body. If you really want something cut short then I found Ekoi is way too short for me - well the one top I bought of theirs was - to the extent it looked ridiculously short despite not being that tight fitting. Mavic is supposes to be cut short too though I've never tried it.

The other thing is are you wearing the kit tight enough - a lot of modern kit is meant to be race fit and if you buy it larger to get a "normal" fit then you might end up with sagging pockets. Most kit these days is actually cut much shorter in the body that a few decades ago.

Define sizable, are you talking a spare tube and a pocket pump, or is this your sandwiches and a flask of tea?

Thanks for the input, chaps. Well, just a water proof normally is enough to give that sagging effect. So tighter jerseys is the answer - Ekoi looks like it might be appropriate, but the sizing chart is a bit weird. I'm 70kg and 1,8m (i.e. skinny) and they recommend a large.... DeVlaeminck, what size did you try, and what size are you?
