Morning all,

Has anyone had a Guru Bike Fit before? The only reason I ask it because I see it heavily marketed on it's ability to help you choose a new bike that fits you perfectly. However, is there any part of the fit that looks at your current bike? I will be looking at a new bike soon but I would also like to get the fit right on my current bike.

Also does the system only search certain brands of bikes?

I used it as i was between two frame sizes on the bike i wanted. It was very helpful as you can make the same adjustments as you would normally on a bike. In the end chose the smaller frame which has been exactly what i wanted.

Would it help with a current bike though? For example, how would I take what I learn in the bike fit and put it on my current bike?

I would assume so, give them a ring to confirm. I only used it to correctly size a new bike.
  • I have had a Guru fit and have recommended it to two friends. All three of us think it is the best money we have ever spent on cycling. I say that having had other bike fits of different genres in the past.

The essence of the guru fit it that it ignores your existing setup and allows you to dynamically feel what feels best for your body, and what position gives you the most comfort and power. The measurements are taken at the end and you then apply those to your bike to change its setup, or use them as the basis for a new bike, or several. :)

Thanks for the feedback. The reason I ask is that it is available for £15 at Groupon at the moment. I've bought it anyway - it would be rude not to at that price!
