Hi All, thanks for checking in.
I need some help. I am a former mountain biker who has flirted with Tarmac for the last eight years.
Now I find myself completely out of touch with the dirt world!
I'm looking to buy a Hardtail 29er and really fancy the Trek Superfly 8 as I love Trek, SRAM and Rockshox (it seems to tick all the boxes) However whilst browsing the Evans website today I came across the Superfly 9 2015, reduced from £1900 odd to 1615. It's just that I can't find out anything about this bike, it's not on the Trek website under the historic section and can't find any reviews or reference to this model away from the Evans Website.
Any advice / knowledge would be gratefully accepted.
Thanks

It's OK but there are much better bikes for less money.
I wouldn't buy a bike with SRAM 11 speed. Check out the price of replacement cassettes compared to Shimano's equally good XT 11 speed.
Why is it roadies always go for Trek 29ers?Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

SRAM is more common because it's been around for a lot longer.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I've just swapped to SRAM 11 speed and I'm loving it.
Some friends of mine have the Carbon superfly and they love it, but said that it wouldn't be their only MTB as its more XC than trail.Specialized Allez Sport 20130
