Non toxic paint stripper for alu frame?

Basically anything which can be used indoors, around children and animals
Ideally I'd have my frame soda blasted but I can't find anywhere local to do this for me. I could have the frame sent away but quotes are in the region of £200 - which is patently ridiculous.
Any suggestions of non-toxic paint strippers would be of help. Thanks

All paint stripper are ''toxic'', some are less so than others, but I wouldnt drink any of them.
There are dozens of water based ones for sale, but I wouldn't put money on any of them making an impression on a bike frame. They are a pig to strip with anything
200, quid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! someone is having a laugh. I have had frames stripped AND painted for 30 quid
Some where near you, on a little industrial estate is someone who will strip the frame in a bath of costic or with a blaster for a tenner or so
Try those folks who strip pine doors or somewhere that refurbishes car parts or stoves etc0 -
There is nothing that will strip paint that is safe to use near children.
What is a bath of costic?
Becareful if you get it blasted, most companies are used to blasting steel and can make a mess of aluminium. They don't seem to understand lower pressure / different media.0 -

He means a 'bath of caustic'. Which is caustic soda aka sodium hydroxide0 -

That would destroy the frame, certainly something not to be used near children. I guess he was joking?0 -

I wouldn't use caustic soda on aluminium unless you really don't want the frame.

Unless all the paint strips at the same time and you pull it out at exactly the right moment and immediately wash it down and get it all out of the inside it will screw the frame.
Blasting is also not a good idea, some parts of the frame are less than a millimetre thick. There are blasting media which are suitable for aluminium but it's a slow, manual process so quite expensive.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Even at slightly elevated temperatures it would ruin bearing surfaces for the headset and BB etc in less than a minute. I can't see it doing much to paint at all.
Mixing it with water will get temperatures 40C or higher.
I've had lung damage from the fumes given off by it, so definitely not for use near children. Out of all the acids and other chemicals I used for anodising this (and bleach) was the one I was most wary off.0 -

There is no non toxic paint remover, get a mask and out the house in a well ventilated spot and definently AWAY from your children!!!
or bead blast it with glass pellets that won't damage the alu frame.“I am a humanist, which means, in part, that I have tried to behave decently without expectations of rewards or punishments after I am dead.”

Id imagine thatll be a media blast or plastic pellets.
As people have said theres no non toxic home method of paint removal.
You can easily do one with nitromors, its slow but works if not get a couple of tins of Loctite 7200 is a gasket removing aerosol. Wear a mask gloves and eye protection the stuff is nasty and has equally nasty fumes, spray on leave a few minutes an watch the paint literally bubble off the frame.0 -
