Depending on what you want to do, the two types we use seem to work well.
Cycloc is really good - easy to use, looks really neat.
Clug are really good as well for slightly different options - I use one to hold the tandem in place (stood vertically on it's back wheel)0 -
i use one of these...

...can't remember where i got one, maybe amazon, you'll find the same/similar from many stores
it can double as a workstand for many tasks (mount it high enough)
use chunky expansion bolts when mounting, not screws/plugs which eventually pull out due to the leveragemy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
I've just bought some of these to keep the bikes on in the garage meant to be very good and fix in 4 places and take up to 25kg of weight. Not that any of my bikes weigh near that.

Nice and cheap too. Loads on eBay from China etc. This is a uk seller and good feedback too.2015 Specialized S-Works Tarmac - Ultegra Di2 (7.0kg)

Hi Term1te - like that holder a lot. I made something similar but struggled to get stem to attach securely to board - how did you manage it?
(Apologies to OP for going off topic)0 -
Or: a piece of 2x4 about as long as your bike, a plastic-coated hook, long coach bolts with appropriate rawlplugs and you're sorted. Just make sure the hook goes in at 45 degrees. Should take less than an hour.0

Go to google images. Choose the one you like the look of. Buy it if it's in your price range and has decent reviews.Cannondale caad7 ultegra

The stem is attached using a couple of the clamps normally used to hold pipes to walls. I cut a small V shape in a couple of sections of wood, and held the stem in the V with the pipe clamps. The saddle is hung with string, so can easily by moved. The hardest part was fixing it to the wall. The wooden slats are about half an inch form the real wall, which is good Swiss bomb shelter concrete. I broke two tungsten carbide drills to make holes deep enough to take a rawl plug.
And in use, apologies for the dodgy phone camera image

this is similar to how I store mine in the garage but not as blingy

Thanks Term1te - certainly looks more stable than my zip-tie solution.0
