I'm looking for a bike for Indonesia. Usage is a combination of asphalt roads and totally unsurfaced roads (either mud, rock, loose stones, with some hills). For rental usage, so it needs to be durable/low-maintenance.

The local brand is Polygon, which is also sold in Australia.

There are basically two model ranges of interest, the Xtrada range, which are 27.5"ers, and the Siskiu, which are available in 29ers or 27.5".

The Xtrada range is described as a 'leisure' style, and consists of:

3 - with Suntour XCM HLO 100mm fork, XCM 40x30x22t cranks, Altus mech/shifters/cassette, Tektra Auriga brakes, no-name bb, Indonesian brand tyres - £200 14.3kg
5 -same fork, full alivio drivetrain, altus disc brakes, octalink bb, schwalbe smart sam tyres £265 13.6kg
6 - as 5, but with suntour xcr LO 100mm fork + full deore drivetrain £320 13.5kg

And the Siskiu, which is a 'crosscountry sport' frame:

6 - XCR 100mm RL, deore drive train with 38x24t double, altus disc brakes, hollowtech 2 bb, smart sam tyres £385 ~13kg
6 29er - XCR 80mm RL, schwalbe rapid rob tyres £410 13.2kg
D6 - as 6, but with xcm 120mm HLO fork, suntour raidon lockout 7.5x1.9" rear sus, alivio drive train inc. 40x30x22 triple, octalink bb £460 14.5kg

7 - same as 6, but with Rockshox Recon Silver remote lockout 100mm, deore drivetrain + brakes, xt rear mech, £575 12.4kg
D7 - as 7 but with rockshox 30 silver solo air 120mm fork, suntour epixon lo-r 7.5x2" rear sus, altus brakes, deore 40x30x22 triple £575 13.6kg
7 29er - as 7 but with schwalbe rapid rob tyres £600 12.7kg

I'm thinking the Xtrada 6, on the basis of the decent Shimano gear + XCR fork and reasonable price... Any thoughts?

They all look pretty decent value, but yes the Xtrada6 looks like a good value for money option, the lighter XCR forks work a lot nicer than the XCM even though it's the same damper.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

The Siskiu is almost identical but is 20% (£60) more expensive, which gets you the same fork but with remote lockout, a different (presumably better, as it's the bottom of a more expensive range, rather than the top of a cheaper one) frame, and 38x24 cranks rather than 40x30x22.

I suspect the Xtrada might be more suited for rental usage. I don't know how durable remote lockout is, it would be nice when climbing some of the more gravelly hills (which aren't that tall), but I worry the fork would break more quickly, so might be better off without.

The lockouts are reliable enough, it's the remote lockouts which have issues due to the cheap remote levers but it's not an insolvable issue.
