Hi All,
I’ve created a Facebook page where I’m in the process of sharing all my local cycle climbs.
Living on the edge of the Peak District, I’m a little spoilt for choice on climbs, but the aim of the page is for users to share their local climbs too. I’d also love to hear feedback from anybody who has done any of the climbs I’ve (will have) added.
Please hit the link and like / share my page
https://www.facebook.com/HillsThrillsCycleChallenges
Many Thanks,
Matt

and spending time with EmmaI've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
I thought someone had already posted something very similar a few months back.
I'd have thought you wouldn't need to look much further than Strava to get this information. I knew non of my local area having not grown up there. Scanning the segments section in strava and checking where other people are riding is a great way of finding good roads. You get to see the length, gradient and how many times it is ridden.
I don't see the need to look elsewhere where you'll have lots of individuals posting random climbs. It'll be hard to wade through the list and you won't get an idea of how popular they are.
I don't actually use Facebook but you see on various forums (not just cycling) people trying to create the "must use" areas. I think some people sit back and think "what could I setup that would make me feel important?"0 -
I actually found it very useful - I always thought the Joel lane climb in Hyde was steep!0

Or some people are just genuinely passionate about the activities they participate in they want to share them with the world.
Whilst some people just see the negative in everything.0
